UM Law School Study Finds Bankruptcies Increasing in Those 65 and Over
According to a report released by the University of Michigan Law School, the fastest growing group of people declaring bankruptcy is those over 65. This is largely due to the use of credit cards among this group to supplement a fixed income.

College Graduation Rates Vary Widely in State of Michigan
According to a report in the Free Press, and reported on in the Chicago Tribune, college graduation rates in the state range from a high of almost 90% at UM, to a low of less than 40% at EMU.

Giving to UM Down 25 Percent Over Two Years
The University of Michigan is reporting that over the last two years, donations have gone down by 25%, but most of that came in fiscal year 2009. This last year, giving is up, but the reasons for the decline are unclear. It could have to do with the economy, but a lot of it also has to do with the end of the Michigan Difference Campaign.
